Elon Musk Has Recommended 80 Hour Work Weeks, Do You Agree?

Elon Musk always seems to be in the spotlight for something or the other, be it his controversial comments or new developments in his company, Tesla. This time he has spoken up on what he thinks is the ideal working hours for an employee.

A post had claimed that Tesla was one of the most in demand employers in the Silicon Valley, despite or because of Elon Musk. Of course, he couldn’t hold his tongue after such a post, could he?

Instead, Musk said that companies like Tesla, Space X, Neuralink or Boring Company were meant for people who like to get things done, to accomplish something. Take a look:

This brought on questions from the Twitterati about how many hours a week a person should dedicate to work, according to Elon Musk? To this he replied,

This is quite significant keeping in mind that France recommends only 35 hour work weeks for all employers. But Musk is clearly of the opinion that you need to burn the midnight oil and grind your way to the top if you want to succeed.

He clarifies in another post that if you love and appreciate the work that you are doing, 80 hours should not feel like work at all. Here goes:

Of course this sparked an instant debate, with a large number of people protesting against such an idea. However, we ask you, if this is actually unreasonable on his part. For a company to succeed, every employee should be held accountable and should be willing to put in hard work.

This Pilot Honoured His Teacher In Front Of All The Passengers. The Video Will Make You Emotional

Teachers always try to shape our lives in a better way and we never understand how much it helps us in long term. While we are in the childhood and teenage phase we don’t care for anything especially what teachers tell us. But as we grow old, we learn the value of their words and eventually start respecting them much more.

A Turkish Airlines pilot gave us the lesson to respect the teachers as he decided to honour his school teacher right in the flight in front of all the passengers. It was a very emotional moment as the pilot read out his message in the local language which left the passengers including the teacher teary-eyed.

Later he was also presented a beautiful bouquet of flowers by the airline staff.

The video of the moment is going viral on social media and is being loved by so many people. An FB user also translated the message in English which reads as-

“Respected passengers, this is your captain speaking, today is a very important day. As we have a very important passenger with us.

He is the Teacher who taught me to be pilot. He was a Captain for 20 years and then a teacher/instructor for 10 years. He taught me and many Captains like myself.

My Captain my Teacher Sadiq Onür, I’m honored that you’re herewith us. I’m glad that you’re my teacher, I’m glad that you’re like my dad and my teacher.”

“On behalf of the entire Turkish airline staff I congratulate you and all other teachers on this “Teachers’ Day” please accept this bouquet, my teacher.” (The crew said.)

South Korea And North Korea Moving Ahead Towards Peace. Trains From SK Travel To NK After A Decade

North and South Korea have started working on the relationship building from quite some time and what they did recently is worth appreciating.

First time in the last 10 years, trains from South Korea travelled to the borders of North Korea despite it being one of the most heavily militarised areas in the world.

The purpose of sending trains by South Korea towards North Korea border is maintainence of the ageing train lines of North Korea.

Kim Jong Un in his first meeting with the South Korean president, Moon Jae-in, in April had admitted that the state of train lines in his country is in a really embarrassing state.

Now six rail cars carrying dozens of South Korean officials and engineers have been sent who will inspect 1,200km of track over the period of 18 days.

After the inspection, we can say that the train lines in North Korea that were built in the early 20th century will finally get maintained and modernised to handle the high-speed trains. South Korea also wants to boost the economic links with North Korea, however, the US which controls the border is insisting for the progress in denuclearization talks which have been on a halt from past few months.

XVideos Actress Riyamikka Commits Suicide By Hanging Herself To Death

Tamil actress Riyamikka who was last seen in a film titled XVideos has committed suicide by hanging herself to death. Riyamikka did suicide while she was at her house in Chennai on 29th November.

Riyamikka who has worked in films like Kumaranukku Kondattam, Aghoriyin Aattam and XVideos was living in Chennai with her cousin brother. She was originally based in Erode.

Talking to a Tamil magazine, the police officials told that Riyamikka was in depression from past few months and didn’t have any film in hands.

She was in love with a guy named Dinesh and one night she asked him to come home as she was feeling low. Dinesh told her that he’ll come in the morning because it was too late. That night Riyamikka also had a fallout with her cousin and went to sleep. Next morning she woke up and went to sleep again. Dinesh had come home and he was cooking lunch with her cousin and that’s when Riyamikka hanged herself to death.

The investigation regarding the same is on and the police is going through various video and audio clips in her phone to find a reason behind her suicide.

Meet Salim Ali, The Real Life Inspiration For 2.0’s Pakshi Raja

So the film everyone’s been waiting for has finally released. 2.0 has hit the screens and is expected to cross the 100 crore mark across all languages on the first day itself.

But while Akshay Kumar’s role in the film has been much appreciated, did you know that he was based on an actual person, called Salim Ali?

Salim Ali (1896 – 1987)was one of the most famous ornithologists (bird specialists) in India, who was born and brought up in Mumbai. His contribution to the science has been such that he is lovingly called the Birdman Of India now.

Here are some facts that you may not have known about the real life inspiration behind Akshay Kumar’s Pakshi Raja:

1. Salim’s first contact with ornithology was when the Bombay Natural History Society (BNHS) introduced him to their collection of stuffed birds and even nourished his young mind to pursue it further.

2. He was responsible for carrying out a number of bird surveys both in and outside India.

3. Not just birds, Salim was greatly concerned about nature and wildlife and ensured protection of the same.

4. He was awarded the Padma Bhushan in the year 1958.

5. He has also authored a number of books which provide extensive knowledge and information on birds.

6. Salim Ali was particularly interested in weaver birds and wrote his first paper on that

We are all aware that driverless and flying cars are soon going to be a common thing in the world. Hyperloop is being planned and now we hear something more that will make you super excited for the future.

UAE is planning to start something in future which can be called an underwater train and guess what? It will connect Mumbai and Fujairah underwater through a 2000KM rail network.

Yes, you heard it right. The network will be underwater which means the train will travel underwater from Fujairah to Mumbai. The talks for the network are in an initial stage right now and if it happens, it will be used for travel and import-export both. India will reciprocate it by providing fresh water to Dubai in return.

Speaking at the UAE-India Conclave in Abu Dhabi, National Advisor Bureau Limited managing director and chief consultant Abdulla Alshehhi said that they plan to connect Fujairah to Mumbai through ultra-speed floating trains. The purpose is to boost trade between the two countries and if it’s successful, UAE will be exporting oil to India and importing excess water from Narmada.

Day 1 Collections of 2.0 (Hindi) Are Out, You Must Check Out The Numbers

Shankar’s Tamil film, 2.0 which stars Akshay Kumar and Rajinikanth, opened to fantastic reviews yesterday. The film had created quite an uproar even before it released, which meant that audiences scurried to the nearest theatres to catch the film yesterday.

The film has seen an above average first day, with a large number of mid level and high level multiplexes showing the film in all the major metropolitan cities.

The Hindi version of the film has hit over 4000 screens and is said to be the eighth best opening this year, with almost 40 percent occupancy of seats in the theatres.

The 40 percent occupancy may be low compared to the 65 percent occupancy that Thugs Of Hindostan saw on the first day, but we all saw how that turned out. It is also to be remembered that 2.0 has released on a Thursday, which is not a holiday.

The Hindi version of the film has reeled in in more than 20 crores (22-23 crores approx.) on the first day itself, and is expected to cross the 100 crore mark over all languages on the first day.

The film could have done better on the first day, but the poor occupancy in the high level multiplexes is one of the major reasons behind it. The single screen theatres on the contrary have done well, as far as a Tamil film is concerned.

Trouble For 2.0 As Telecom Operators Demand Ban On Film Over “Anti Scientific Attitude”

The Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0 released yesterday to an over whelming response and the film has received excellent reviews from all over.

While people did not quite like the story so much, they admit that it has a social message and of course, if it’s a Thalaivar film, you simply cannot miss it. But the telecom companies of the country are raising their voice against the film, demanding a ban on it.

The film is set in a fictional dystopian world where technology, specifically telephones would turn against man. The film carries the social message that we tend to spend more time on our phones than our loved ones.

The film also states that every person who has a cellphone is no less than a murderer. This has offended the COAI or Cellular Operators Association of India who have penned an official letter to the government demanding a ban on the film owing to its anti scientific attitude.

The COAI has accused the film makers of “falsely depicting mobile phones and mobile towers as harmful to living creatures and the environment including birds and human beings.”

However, we must admit that the film portrays the truth, although in a slightly exaggerated way. But we’d suggest you still watch the film and decide for yourself.
